Eight weeks is the right age for most puppies to go home. For families who want more, our Nextgen Jumpstart keeps raising your puppy in our home for four, eight, twelve or sixteen more weeks, working every day on the things that make the first months easier for everyone: the crate, sleeping through the night, a potty routine, calm handling and grooming, and a first introduction to the leash. You get a video twice a week, a written report card with photos every week, and a full handoff on go-home day.
One puppy per litter. We take a single puppy from each litter into the program. The place goes to the first family whose program deposit is received, and it is held as long as the fee schedule below is kept.
What we work on
- Crate: eating and resting in the crate, door closed, for longer and longer.
- Sleep: overnight in the crate, working toward a full night.
- Potty: a fixed outdoor routine with a bell cue, and a written accident log you can read.
- Handling: paws, ears, mouth, nail trims, brushing, a bath and blow-dryer, being held, the grooming table.
- Leash: collar and harness, following on a light leash, first walks on the property and, once the vet clears the vaccine schedule, in new places.
- Name, recall, sit and down, waiting at doors and for meals, redirecting mouthing to toys.
- Socialization: household life, surfaces, stairs, car rides, adults and children, known vaccinated dogs, and after clearance, outings, tracked on a written checklist.

Fee schedule
- The program fee is in addition to the puppy price.

- The second half at the midpoint of your program.
- ACH or check preferred; cards carry a 3% fee. Enrolment closes when the litter is seven weeks old.
What you receive
- A short video at least twice a week, and a written weekly report card with photos.
- A video call before go-home to walk through your puppy’s routine and cues, and a personalized cue video.
- On go-home day: a 60-minute handoff lesson, a written Go-Home Plan, and a letter from your puppy’s handler.
- Free delivery to your home within two hours’ drive of Boring, Oregon.
- A follow-up session about four weeks later, then lifetime support, the same as every puppy we place.
The Jumpstart Promise
Puppies are not programmable. What we can give your puppy is habits and confidence: a crate that feels safe, a routine, hands that are welcome everywhere, a leash that means good things. What we cannot promise is a finished dog. Some things slip for a week or two after any move, and the cues your puppy knows with us become reliable at home only with your consistency. So our agreement makes exactly one promise about training: if your puppy has not completed the program checklist by go-home day, your puppy stays with us at no charge until it has, up to two more weeks, and anything still unfinished after that is refunded on a pro-rated basis.
How your puppy lives during the program
In our home, in a puppy space with its own air, bowls and leashes, separate from the boarding and daycare dogs at Green Acres K9 Resort until the vaccine series is complete. Reward-based methods only. No electronic or prong collars, ever. Visits by appointment from the tenth week.
